LR board decides to annex acreage
Little Rock will annex 104 acres of land along the south side of Pride Valley Road that includes a mobile home park and undeveloped acreage.
There is a proposal to build a 139-house subdivision on 48 acres of the land. The mobile home park has 12 trailers, and there are also five houses already located in the area.
The remaining undeveloped land in the tract is broken into six pieces. The planned single-family subdivision will be built in the western portion of the area. A review by the county found that the area meets all the requirements for annexation.
The city will assume maintenance responsibility for Tele Road and Layman Lane and a portion of Pride Valley Road included in the area. City water, sewer, trash and police services will also be extended to the area.
At least one property owner had written the city asking not to be annexed.
The city Board of Directors voted to annex the land Tuesday.
