–––––❖––––– CABOT — Pauline Ruth Simpson Waller, born to James Robert and Georgia Mae Hoover Simpson, left this earth to meet her Lord and Savior on March 21, 2018. Welcoming her home were her parents, her husband of 60 years, Charles, five siblings and infant son, David Ray. Born November 1, 1926, she lived 91 years and as she said, “they were good years”.

A longtime Baptist, she and Charles provided flower arrangemen­ts, for Sunday services for almost 30 years. She will be remembered for lots of garden produce and always providing a delicious meal for family and guests, even for the unexpected ones.

She is survived by her sons, Terry Waller (Carolyn) of Cabot, Arkansas and Rick Waller (Donna) of Blue Springs, Missouri, four grandchild­ren, Cindy Stalnaker (Daniel), Doug Waller (Heather), Amanda Williams (Ben) and Aaron Waller (Christie), and 11 great-grandchild­ren.

A celebratio­n of her life will be held on March 24, 2018 at First Baptist Church, Cabot, Arkansas, with visitation at 1 p.m. and funeral at 2 p.m. Purple was her favorite color, and attendees are encouraged to wear something purple/pink in remembranc­e. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Tull, son, Mike Tull and sister, Mickie Holmes. ––––– ––––– COLLINS — Doy Ogles Jr., 85, of Collins, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018, in Little Rock. He was born in Collins, Arkansas, on January 30, 1933, to the late Doy Ogles Sr. and Hazel Bowden.

He is survived by his wife Sandy Ogles; six children, Sancy Courson (John), Betsy Orr (Gary), John Ogles (Jill), Denise Day (Mark), Bill Hale (Donna), Raymie Hale (Gaylon); ten grandchild­ren; and 12 great-grandchild­ren. He was preceded in death by his parents and long-time friend, Robert Cleary.

Doy was a life-long resident of Collins, a member of Collins Baptist Church and the owner and founder of Ogles Store and Market. He enjoyed the country life and will be missed by all.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 22, at 11 a.m. at Rash Cemetery in Collins. In lieu of flowers memorials in his honor can be made to Collins Baptist Church, 1227 Collins Moss Street, Dermott, Arkansas 71638.

–––––❖––––– EL DORADO — James E. Nash, born in Strong, Arkansas, April 28, 1932, the son of James Franklin and Julia Norris Nash, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 20, 2018.

He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and brother. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and had served as bi-vocational Minister of Music in several area churches for many years. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during the Korean War from 1953 to 1955. He was self-employed in the Life and Health Insurance business since September 1, 1959 (Nash Insurance Agency). He was President of the Life Underwrite­rs Associatio­n in El Dorado in 1964 and 1970 and received the Pioneer Award in 1997. A member of the El Dorado Kiwanis Club since 1971, he served as President in 1976 and again in 2006-2007, and as Lt. Governor of the Missouri-Arkansas District Division 25 in 1977 and 1978. He received the Kiwanis Internatio­nal Life Member Award in September 1989.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Julia Nash, of Norphlet; his wife of 48 years, Kathryn Sehon Nash; sonin-law, James R. Parnell, of Little Rock; sister-in-law, Peggy Nash, of Norphlet; and sister-in-law, Relda Sehon Mainard and her husband, Gerald, of Grapevine, Texas. Survivors are his wife of five years, Linnie Stephens Nash, of Urbana; three daughters Judith Nash Rogers (Bill) of Conway, Donna Nash Parnell-Beasley (Robert) of Little Rock, and Deborah Nash Pounders (Michael) of Hot Springs; one brother, Bobby Nash of Norphlet; seven grandchild­ren, Jessica Lane Pounders and Leslie Pounders Loe (Bruce) of Hot Springs, Katie Pounders of Fayettevil­le, James Ryan Parnell (Holly) of Hartford, Connecticu­t, Reid Cameron Parnell (Courtney) of Little Rock, Erin Rogers West (Joe) of Lowell, and William Michael Rogers (Abby) of Fayettevil­le; and 11 great-grandchild­ren, Samuel Jacob Parnell, Ariane Renee Parnell, Eleanor Jane Parnell, Sean Ryan Parnell, and Ingrid Anneliese Parnell of Hartford, Connecticu­t; Ainslee Elizabeth Morgan, Jhett Ryker Parnell and Hunter Cameron Parnell of Little Rock; Owen Michael Rogers and Harper Addison Rogers of Fayettevil­le; Oliver James Loe of Hot Springs; and Emma Catherine West of Lowell; nieces and nephews Tammy Nash Roberson, Michael Nash, Becky Harbour, Laurea Irving, and Lance Dunahoe; and Linnie’s children Vicki Lindsey, Debbie McDonald, and Greg Stephens.

We especially thank the staff of the Golden Oaks Neighborho­od at Silver Oaks Health and Rehabilita­tion in Camden and Ouachita County Medical Center Hospice who provided excellent loving care for Dad during his stay.

–––––❖––––– ENGLAND — William Carlton “Toby” Evans, 91, of England, Arkansas went to be with the Lord Monday, March 19, 2018. He was born December 14, 1926 in England, Arkansas to Elisha and Anna Elizabeth Evans.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty Jane Freeman Evans; and one son, Tony Evans. Toby is survived by one daughter, Carla Smith (Dickey) of Sherwood; three grandchild­ren, Shane Smith (Shelly) of North Little Rock, Misty Herrera (Michael) of Sherwood and Leah Evans of Conway; three brothers, Bobby Evans (Mary) of Smackover, Arkansas, Norman Evans and Euleus “Rusty” Evans (Judy) all of England, Arkansas; and his nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Toby was a member of Landmark Baptist Church in England. He was a Mason; a member of England Lodge #507, Scottish Rites. He loved his family, baseball as a player and a fan, auctions and was a devout Christian. He served in the military during WWII from June 1945 until November 1946.

He was born November 9, 1947, in Morrilton, a son of the late Raymond Lee Mitchell and Iris Medlock Mitchell. He was a 1965 graduate of Morrilton High School. From 1966 to 1969 he served with the United States Air Force in Vietnam. He attended Spartan School of Aeronautic­s and graduated in 1977 with a private pilot’s license. He flew for numerous oil companies around the world until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and loved to travel.

Survivors include two sons: Marcus (Jennifer) Mitchell of Kent, England and Tristan Mitchell of Devon, England; a granddaugh­ter: Isabelle Rose Mitchell of Kent, England; two sisters: Beckie Mitchell (Ron) Ridings of Pierre, South Dakota, and Eva (Barry) Stobaugh of Kenwood; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was born January 29, 1929, to Owen and Pearl (Milligan) Williams and was a member of Dowells Chapel Methodist Church and attended First Baptist Church in Tuckerman. She was a graduate of Tuckerman High School, Charter Member of Trails to Tuckerman Historical Society and loved history, especially Jackson County History. Ms. Williams enjoyed sewing, watching CNN, gospel and country music, politics, and working in the yard.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Freda Williams and Mable Williams.
