Hill accounts for 7 scores, 524 yards for LR Christian

TEXARKANA — Justice Hill accounted for 524 yards and seven touchdowns as Little Rock Christian overcame a halftime deficit to eliminate Texarkana 48-24 in the quarterfin­als of the Class 5A playoffs Friday night at Razorback Stadium.

Hill, who recently signed his letter of intent to play basketball at the University of Arkansas, completed 25 of 33 passes for 435 yards and 4 touchdowns. He also ran for 89 yards and 3 scores on 10 attempts.

Texarkana played toe to toe with the Warriors in the first half, holding the visiting team to 173 total yards while going into intermissi­on with a 17-14 lead.

After that, it was all Little Rock Christian (12-1).

The Warriors scored 21 unanswered points before the Razorbacks could stop the bleeding, and finished with the game’s last two scores to seal the victory. Texarkana’s Cameron Collier finished with a gamehigh 159 rushing yards on 28 attempts. He also had two scores.

Sean Foreback was 9-of24 passing for 201 yards and a touchdown for the Razorbacks. Wideout DeJordan Mask caught Foreback’s touchdown pass, which was a 32-yard strike with 14 seconds left in the first half to give the Razorbacks their 17-14 lead.

Patrick Cook nailed a 32yard field goal in the second quarter for Texarkana.

Little Rock Christian’s Matthew Ware had 120 yards on 5 catches with 2 touchdowns. Michael Loggins added 117 yards on eight catches.

The Razorbacks close out the season at 10-2, snapping their eight-game winning streak.

HARRISON 49, WYNNE 14

HARRISON — Wynne used a Harrison turnover to grab some momentum late in the first half, but Colton Shaver helped turn the tables in the final two quarters at F.S. Garrison Stadium.

The junior outside linebacker picked off a pass and recovered a fumble in the second half to help the Goblins (12-0) advance to the Class 5A state football semifinals. The Goblins led 21-14 at halftime after Wynne’s Kavion Alston intercepte­d a pass and returned it 64 yards for a touchdown with seven seconds left in the second quarter.

But Shaver came up with a pair of big second-half turnovers that Harrison turned into scores and went on to the big win. Shaver also came up big on offense with three catches for 108 yards and a touchdown against Wynne (7-5).

MORRILTON 45, BLYTHEVILL­E 20

BLYTHEVILL­E — Jacolby Criswell accounted for 285 yards of total offense and two touchdowns and Xaviar Clemons rushed for three 1-yard scores, leading Morrilton (8-4) over Blythevill­e (6-6).

Criswell jump-started the second half with a 33-yard touchdown pass to Reggie Toney to make it 17-0 with 8:52 left in the third quarter. The Devils Dogs then got another score 41 seconds later when Dalton Kellar jumped a screen pass and took the intercepti­on 18 yards to make it 24-0.

Criswell added a 2-yard touchdown run, making it 31-0 with 5:19 left in the third.

Blythevill­e’s Corey Weatherspo­on returned the ensuing kickoff 70 yards for a touchdown, and Jaheim Carter ran in the two-point conversion to trim the deficit to 31-8. The Chickasaws scored again to start the fourth quarter to make it 31-14 before Clemons made it 38-14 with a 1-yard score with 8:51 remaining.

Criswell finished 18 of 26 for 208 yards through the air and rushed 12 times for 77 yards.
