CONWAY — Jewel Yvonne Wilcox Loveless

went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at the age of 84. She was born on the July 4, 1937, in Springhill, Ark., to Fred and Velma Wilcox, and she loved the fireworks on the fourth of July to celebrate our country’s birth and hers.

She attended Greenbrier High School, where she played basketball, and the University of Central Arkansas. She met her husband Gene, the love of her life, in 1956, and they celebrated their 65th wedding anniversar­y last year. They had two daughters, Jeanne and Chris.

She was employed for 30 years at Conway Human Developmen­t Center and retired in 1995. She was an avid quilter and loved spending time at the beach in Florida collecting shells.

She is survived by her husband, Gene Loveless of Conway; daughters, Jeanne Loveless Seewald (Don) of Naples, Fla., and Chris Loveless Strauss of Little Rock. Also survived by her grandchild­ren, Steele Strauss of Little Rock, and Margo Seewald Mittelstea­dt of Greenville, S.C., and her great-grandchild­ren. Max Mittelstae­dt and Roxanne Mittelstae­dt.

She was predecease­d by her parents, Fred and Velma Wilcox; sisters, Oneida Milam and Joy Wilcox; and brothers, Jimmy Wilcox and Freddie Wilcox.

She attended Springhill Baptist Church her whole life and loved her church family. She never met a stranger and loved talking to people and learning about them and their family. She lived a beautiful and spiritual life and lived up to her name as she was a true jewel. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

A visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2022, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. at Springhill Baptist Church, Springhill, Ark. Interment will be in Springhill Cemetery.
