Of all the design styles and eras, why midcentury? “I believe the form and function of that era have a seamless marriage,” Armen says.

What inspires you most about mid mod style? “Clean lines, minimalism, lack of extraneous form—it’s less about decoration and more about function,” he says.

WHAT MIDCENTURY DESIGNERS INFLUENCE YOUR WORK? “Eames, Mies van der Rohe—i am influenced not just by furniture designers, but architects as well,” Armen says.
