Two new nonstop flights are headed for Austin-Bergstrom
American Airlines will start nonstop service from Austin to JFK International Airport on Friday, and Frontier Airlines Holdings Inc. will start nonstop service fom Austin to Kansas City, Mo., in November.
The American daily flight will leave Austin at 9:35 a.m. and arrive at JFK at 2:29 p.m.
The return flight leaves at 3:40 p.m. and arrives in Austin at 6:45 p.m.
“Austin is an important focus city for American’s network, so we’re excited to be able to add this New York nonstop to our schedule,” said Roger Firzzell, American’s vice president for corporate communications.
American is the second-largest carrier at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport after Southwest Airlines.
Frontier said its new flight will start Nov. 18.
The flight will leave Austin at 8:10 a.m., with the return flight departing Kansas City at 6:59 p.m.
