President’s installation oct. 22
Dennis A. Ahlburg, who became president of Trinity in January, will be formally inaugurated Oct. 22 at the small private university that occupies a hilltop in San Antonio.
The 2 p.m. ceremony is open to the public and will feature a procession of faculty members, trustees and administrators, as well as representatives of colleges and universities around the nation.
A native of Australia, Ahlburg is an economist who has studied the effect of population on economic development and higher education. The keynote address for his installation will be delivered by Roger Ainsworth, a professor of engineering science at the University of Oxford in England and master of its St. Catherine’s College. Trinity officials said his selection reflects the importance the university attaches to giving its students an international perspective. Additional details will be posted at www.trinity.edu.
