in­surance agents give tour­na­ment pro­ceeds to austin Chil­dren’s shel­ter

In­de­pen­dent In­surance Agents of Austin, with the help of busi­ness spon­sors, raised $18,000 for the Austin Chil­dren’s Shel­ter through a fundrais­ing golf tour­na­ment.

The shel­ter pro­vides care and other ser­vices for youth re­moved from their homes due to abuse or ne­glect.

Busi­nesses and in­surance providers such as Hart­ford, the Re­pub­lic Group, the ACE Group, Brown & Brown As­so­ci­ates PC, Crump In­surance Ser­vices Inc., Texas Mu­tual In­surance Co. and more spon­sored the Fourth An­nual An­dre’ Juneau Me­mo­rial Gold Tour­na­ment at Grey Rock Golf Club.

The as­so­ci­a­tion has do­nated a to­tal of $48,000 to Austin char­i­ties with pro­ceeds from its golf tour­na­ments.

Car­i­tas of austin

From left, Su­san Bryant, Joe Lea and Deb­bie Daniels of McGin­nis, Lochridge & Kil­gore were among the law firm’s work­ers who helped round up more than 1,000 pounds of beans and rice for the Car­i­tas of Austin food pantry, an ef­fort that re­sulted in the Su­perb Hu­man Beans award from the non­profit.
