Boil water notice in effect

Austin American-Statesman - - LOCALBRIEFING -

About 2,310 homes were affected after a waterline break Friday, a City of Pflugerville spokeswoman said.

Temporarily, there was no water in the Springbrook, Spring Trails, Springbrook Glen, Royal Pointe, Highland Park, Highland Park North and Pflugerville Heights subdivisions.

The city’s Public Works department and Manville Water Supply Corp. worked to stop the leak.

Water was restored later Friday morning, although water pressure may have been low.

A boil-water notice was in effect for subdivision residents.

The city said it planned to post a notification at www.cityofpflugerville.com and through e-newsletters and social media websites when it is no longer necessary to boil water.

Those with questions may contact the Public Works office at 251-9935 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and at 251-4004 after hours.
