The scoop: The Sharecroppers Antique Farm Equipment Club started in La Grange in 1994 to bring back the local agricultural heritage. The group is dedicated to the preservation of antique farm equipment through the restoration, education, display and operation of equipment at local shows and events. It became a branch of the national Early Days Gas Engine and Tractor Association in 1997. Members live in a 125-mile radius of Brenham, which is about 90 miles east of Austin.
