Georgia AD Evans is out
Damon Evans, caught up in a drunk-driving episode, will no longer be the Georgia athletic director, according to The Associated Press. It is unclear whether Evans resigned under pressure or was fired. The school will make a statement today. Evans has said he “failed miserably” as a leader and representative of Georgia. He was the SEC’s first black athletic director.
More embarrassment for Georgia came when the incident report of the arrest was released, including details about 28-year-old Courtney Fuhrmann, who was with Evans in his car and was charged with disorderly conduct. Evans, a 40-year-old married father, was found with a “pair of lady’s panties between his legs,” according to the report.
