Mize grabs Cham­pi­ons

BLAINVILLE, Que­bec — Larry Mize shot a fi­nal­round 64 to win the inaugural Mon­treal Cham­pi­onship by one stroke over John Cook for his first ca­reer vic­tory on the Cham­pi­ons Tour.

The 1987 Masters cham­pion had seven birdies, an ea­gle and a bo­gey to win in his 36th tour­na­ment on the se­niors tour.

The 51-year-old fin­ished with a 54-hole to­tal of 17-un­der 199. He tied for the low round of the day with Bobby Clam­pett.
