Fête from the gar­den

Cecilia Nasti’s Pasta Salad with Basil Pesto and Black Cherry Toma­toes was one of the dishes served at Re­nee Stude­baker’s back­yard gar­den party (See recipe, D5). She kept the food on ice and planned for the heat with a pa­tio mis­ter. She also kept mos­qui­toes at a dis­tance with an herbal reed dif­fuser. Her in­vi­tees: fel­low gar­den­ers who know that there’s noth­ing like food made with fresh in­gre­di­ents from the gar­den.
