Stage 4: Cambrai, France to Reims, France, covering 95.4 miles through the flat French champagne country.
Winner: Alessandro Petacchi of Italy, who also won the first stage Sunday, clocked a winning time of 3 hours, 34 minutes, 55 seconds along with a pack of 163 other riders.
Who’s in yellow: Fabian Cancellara of Switzerland held on to the lead during the Tour’s first stage without a crash.
Where’s Lance: On a day with no changes in the overall standings, Armstrong stayed in 18th place, 2:30 behind Cancellara.
