No fan of Lance

Austin American-Statesman - - SPORTS -

A fan continues to show up at major cycling races in Europe just to heckle Lance Armstrong.

He was at the Tour of Luxembourg in June, when he stood near the RadioShack team bus and yelled “tricheur” at Armstrong as he was being interviewed by media. Armstrong finally stepped on a railing to better see the man before yelling, “Say that to my face.”

Tricheur, in French, means cheat.

The fan was back Wednesday for Stage 4 of the Tour de France. Positioned at the finish line in Reims, he booed and yelled at Armstrong as the cyclist stood near his team’s bus. This time, the seven-time Tour de France champion ignored him.
