3 NATO troops, police official slain
KABUL — Three international troops died in insurgent attacks and a senior Afghan police official was assassinated, officials said. One of the foreign troops was an American killed by an insurgent attack in eastern Afghanistan. The other two service members, whose nationalities weren’t released, died in separate roadside bomb attacks in the south. Mohammad Gul, the police intelligence director for western Kabul, was ambushed and killed by gunmen outside his home, police said.
