Minimum wage

Austin American-Statesman - - OPINION -

When I learned that the governor of California had instructed the comptroller to pay some state employees the minimum wage until their representatives pass a budget, I was concerned about those employees trying to live — under the poverty level (for a single parent with a couple of kids).

I also could not help but wonder what would happen here in Texas, if the Texas Republican Party’s 2010 platform priority of repealing the minimum wage law is realized.
