Bas t rop County resident Charles Ellis pleaded guilty Friday to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 2008 beating of William McMarion at a home in western Bastrop County, an assistant district attorney said.Ellis was sentenced to 15 years in prison, Greg Gilleland said.
Sheriff’s deputies were called to an assault at a home in the 300 block of FM 1209 at 10:30 p.m. Aug. 20, 2008, and found McMarion, 43, and Larry Jones, 49, injured, officials have said.
