Winner: Mark Cavendish of Britain won his second straight stage in 5 hours, 37 minutes, 42 seconds, edging out Alessandro Petacchi and Tyler Farrar in a sprint to the finish.
Who’s in yellow: Fabian Cancellara of Switzerland remained in the lead for the fourth straight day.
Where’s lance?: In Stage 6 Armstrong finished three seconds behind Cavendish, but he is still 2 minutes, 30 seconds behind Cancellara, at 18th place in the overall standings.
