Man pulled from Colorado River

Paramedics trans­ported a man in his 20s to Uni­ver­sity Med­i­cal Cen­ter Brack­en­ridge on Sun­day af­ter pulling him from the Colorado River in East Austin. Austin Fire Depart­ment spokesman Thayer Smith said the man went un­der the wa­ter about 11:20 a.m. while swim­ming near the Roy G. Guer­rero Colorado River Park. The man was un­der­wa­ter for about 20 min­utes, Smith said. Emer­gency crews con­tin­ued to per­form CPR on the man as he was taken to the hos­pi­tal.
