Who’s in yellow: Two-time runner-up Cadel Evans of Australia took the yellow jersey from Frenchman Sylvain Chavanel, while Schleck jumped to second overall, 20 seconds back. Defending champion Alberto Contador is third at 1:01 behind.
Where’s Lance? Armstrong had a terrible time. He struggled with crashes and the steep climbs, finishing 61st. Overall, Armstrong dropped to 39th place, more than 13 minutes behind, which all but knocks him out of contention.
