3 get life in nation’s costliest terror trial

Austin American-Statesman - - TUESDAYBRIEFING -

LONDON — Three men convicted last week of involvement in a 2006 plot to bomb trans-Atlantic airliners were sentenced in a London court to life imprisonment, with the judge telling them they would serve a minimum of 20 years for their roles as “foot soldiers.” The sentencing concluded a terrorism case described as the longest, costliest and most serious in the country’s history.
