Phish and EaglEs and MonstErs!

Austin American-Statesman - - WEDNESDAYBRIEFING - — Patrick Caldwell

Barring cancellations or additions, ticket buyers for the sold-out Austin City Limits Music Festival are now free to plan their weekend down to the minute: The daily schedules for the Oct. 8-10 Zilker Park event are out.

This year’s grids brought a few surprises — including Monsters of Folk receiving a rare nonheadlining two-hour set from 6 to 8 Saturday night, and local soul outfit

T-Bird and the Breaks getting prime billing from 6:40 to 7:20 Sunday night. Phish and the

Eagles will both play two-hour closing sets on Friday and Sunday night, respectively; returning ACL headliner Muse, meanwhile, nabs just an hour and a half Saturday night.

As always, the release of the schedule grids also brings a few conflicts — although none of them are, mercifully, on the order of 2007’s infamous Arcade Fire-versus-White

Stripes conundrum. Some of the more contentious spots include the Black Keys versus

Broken Bells on Friday afternoon, Silversun Pickups versus Local Natives and the Temper Trap versus the XX on Saturday afternoon, and Band of Horses versus the Flaming Lips on Sunday night.
