A brief re­view of Tues­day’s Stage 9 at the Tour de France: Stage 9: Morzine-Avo­riaz, France to Saint-Jean-de-Mau­ri­enne, France, cov­er­ing 127.1 miles fea­tur­ing a gru­el­ing 15.9-mile climb up the Col de la Madeleine.

Win­ner: Sandy Casar of France won his third ca­reer Tour stage in a sprint to the fin­ish with a time of 5 hours, 38 min­utes, 10 sec­onds.

Who’s in yel­low: Andy Sch­leck of Lux­em­bourg took the lead from Aus­tralia’s Cadel Evans, who has been rac­ing with a bro­ken el­bow since a crash in Stage 8.

Where’s Lance? Arm­strong fin­ished the stage in 18th place and jumped from 39th to 31st in the over­all stand­ings, 15 min­utes, 54 sec­onds be­hind Sch­leck.
