four big holes, four tough games
After an 11-win season and its first outright ACC championship since 1990, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets appear to be on the path to a school-record 14th consecutive bowl game under two-time ACC coach of the year Paul Johnson. But four important juniors — safety Morgan Burnett, running back Jonathan Dwyer, defensive end Derrick Morgan and wide receiver Demaryius Thomas — left for the NFL after the Orange Bowl. Dwyer was the 2008 ACC player of the year; Morgan was the 2009 ACC defensive player of the year. Their departures put a strain on a team facing four Top 25 teams on the road.
