Man found dead in Rio Grande
Mexican authorities have recovered the body of a Las Cruces, N.M.-area man from the Rio Grande after he had been hunting and went into the water to retrieve a duck.
The body of Ezequiel Roman Lesa was found Thursday. Authorities said the body was recovered near the Bridge of the Americas.
The cause of death is pending, but rescue crews think Lesa drowned. Lesa was hunting in Juárez on Monday night when he apparently went into the river to try to retrieve a duck but was carried away by the strong current.
Recent rains have swelled the Rio Grande, leading to flooding downstream.
