Win­ner: Joaquin Ro­driguez edged out fel­low Spa­niard Al­berto Con­ta­dor in a sprint to the line, with both clock­ing in at 4 hours, 58 min­utes, 26 sec­onds.

Who’s in yel­low: Andy Sch­leck of Lux­em­bourg re­mained in the lead for the fourth straight day, but sec­ond-place Con­ta­dor closed the gap to 31 sec­onds.

Where’s Lance? Arm­strong lost time for the third straight day. He stayed in 32nd place over­all but added more than three min­utes to his time, which put him 21 min­utes, 16 sec­onds be­hind Sch­leck.
