MIAMI — The Miami Heat signed second-round draft pick Dexter Pittman from Texas.
The 6-foot-10-inch, 290pound center has been with Miami’s summer league team after the Heat took him with the 32nd selection in last month’s draft. In four seasons at Texas, Pittman averaged 6.6 points and 4.0 rebounds on 62 percent shooting.
