MI­AMI — The Mi­ami Heat signed sec­ond-round draft pick Dex­ter Pittman from Texas.

The 6-foot-10-inch, 290pound cen­ter has been with Mi­ami’s sum­mer league team af­ter the Heat took him with the 32nd se­lec­tion in last month’s draft. In four sea­sons at Texas, Pittman av­er­aged 6.6 points and 4.0 re­bounds on 62 per­cent shoot­ing.
