The scoop: The Lone Star Re­gion of the Lin­coln and Con­ti­nen­tal Own­ers Club is a group of Lin­coln own­ers who love the brand, es­pe­cially clas­sic Lin­colns, and aim to pre­serve and re­store all Lin­colns.

Top col­lec­tor: C. Brown of San An­to­nio, who owns eight Lin­colns from the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s.

MVP of the year: Don­ald ‘Doc’ El­lis of Sal­ado, for his tire­less con­tri­bu­tions to mak­ing the Sal­ado Meet an icon of Texas LCOC events.

Rookie of the year: J. Wie­mann of Austin, who owns one of Jackie Glea­son’s ’64 con­vert­ibles.

Biggest event: An­nual Sal­ado Texas Tri-Re­gion Meet in April at the Stage­coach Inn, which typ­i­cally fea­tures 30 to 50 Lin­colns from across the state.

Giv­ing back: Mem­bers en­ter and sup­port other char­ity car shows, such as the Texas Clas­sic Car Show at Rudy’s Coun­try Store and Bar-B-Q on Re­search Boule­vard in Austin and the An­tique Car­riage Car Show at Alza­far Shrine in San An­to­nio.
