Yogi Berra spent Saturday night in the hospital after missing the New York Yankees’ Old-Timers’ Day, following a fall outside his New Jersey home Friday.
Berra, 85, was taken to a Montclair, N.J., hospital because of bleeding related to the fall. Berra, who takes a blood-thinning drug, had a procedure to stem the bleeding from cuts on his nose. He was released Sunday.
Berra still expects to attend next weekend’s Baseball Hall of Fame ceremonies, said Dave Kaplan, director of the Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center.
