COMEDY

Austin American-Statesman - - AUSTIN360BETS -

‘Comedy Gone Wrong.’ As the saying goes, some stuff is so bad that it’s good. Go to any open mike, and often the funniest comics are at the bottom of the list — when their ham-handed attempts at being funny actually pay off. Austin comic Andy Ritchie, who was recently on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham, and Charlie Sotelo, host of the beloved public access show ‘The Show With No Name,’ have put together a collection of the best worst comics you’ll ever see. To spice up the mix, they’ve also sprinkled in clips of celebrity awkwardness (like David Cross messing with a clueless interviewer) and other pre-Internet gems. 7:45 p.m. today and July 26. Alamo Ritz, 320 E. Sixth St. $8.50. For an interview with Ritchie, visit austin360.com and click on the comedy blog.
