Woman dies after plane crash
A Dallas-area woman has died a day after a single-engine plane crash that left her husband critically injured.
Kathy Culp, 57, of Carrollton died about 1 a.m. Monday. A Texas Department of Public Safety trooper told The Dallas Morning News that the plane took a steep right turn and crashed into a field Sunday evening about a mile southwest of Denton Municipal Airport. The pilot had reported insufficient power shortly after takeoff. A woman died early Monday and her husband was left critically injured after a Davis John TR-4, a single-engine experimental airplane, crashed Sunday in Denton.
