T-bill interest rates mixed
WASHINGTON — Interest rates on shortterm Treasury bills were mixed at Monday’s auction.
The Treasury Department auctioned $30 billion in three-month bills at a discount rate of 0.155 percent, up from 0.150 percent last week. Another $30 billion in six-month bills was auctioned at a discount rate of 0.195 percent, down from 0.200 percent last week.
Separately, the Federal Reserve said Monday that the average yield for one-year Treasury bills was 0.28 percent last week, down from 0.31 percent the previous week.
