Teen dies af­ter week­end wreck

A teenager in­volved in a col­li­sion near Creed­moor last week­end died Mon­day evening from his in­juries, of­fi­cials said.

Shane Eric Miller, 18, who suf­fered a head in­jury, died at Uni­ver­sity Med­i­cal Cen­ter Brack­en­ridge in Austin, said Tom Vinger, spokesman for the Texas Depart­ment of Pub­lic Safety.

Two adults, Bryan Story, 31, of Austin and Iso­bel Kin­caid, 52, of Dale, were killed, and an­other teen, 13-year-old An­drew Kin­caid, was hos­pi­tal­ized with lifethreat­en­ing in­juries af­ter a two-ve­hi­cle crash Satur­day on FM 1327 in south­ern Travis County, DPS of­fi­cials said.

An­drew Kin­caid was taken to Dell Chil­dren’s Med­i­cal Cen­ter in se­ri­ous con­di­tion with in­ter­nal in­juries, Vinger said. His con­di­tion was not im­me­di­ately avail­able Tues­day.

Of­fi­cials have said that Story was driv­ing a Ford Ex­pe­di­tion east on FM 1327 when he crossed over the cen­ter line and col­lided head-on with a Nis­san driven by Kin­caid and car­ry­ing the two teens. Of­fi­cials do not know whether al­co­hol or ex­ces­sive speed was in­volved.
