Garriott-NCsoft lawsuit goes to court Monday
The federal trial pitting computer gaming legend Richard Garriott against his former employer is set to begin.
Garriott sued South Korean game company NCsoft Corp. last year, saying he lost millions of dollars on stock options after the company fired him in 2008. Garriott has said he was forced out and that NCsoft had wrongly characterized his departure as voluntary.
NCsoft has contested Garriott’s allegations, including that he had been fired and that the company had created “false documentation” to indicate he had left voluntarily.
The trial is to start Monday with jury selection in U.S. District Judge Sam Sparks’ court.
