OU, Nebraska top media poll
Media representatives who cover the Big 12 predict Oklahoma and Nebraska will play for the 2010 conference football championship.
In the league’s preseason media poll released Wednesday, the Sooners were the narrow pick to supplant Texas as the South Division champion. Oklahoma picked up 16 first-place votes and 146 points, while the Longhorns grabbed the 10 other first-place votes and 140 points.
Texas A&M was a distant third in the South (97 points), followed by Texas Tech (68), Oklahoma State (53) and Baylor (42).
Nebraska was the runaway winner in the North, receiving all 26 first-place votes for 156 points. Missouri was second (125), followed by Kansas State (79), Kansas (70), Colorado (61) and Iowa State (55).
