Heisman Trust: No decision yet on revoking Bush’s award

Austin American-Statesman - - SPORTS -

NEW YORK — The Heisman Trust has yet to decide whether it will be asking former USC star Reggie Bush to return the Heisman Trophy he won in 2005.

On Tuesday, USC said it is returning its copy of Bush’s trophy. An NCAA investigation determined he and his family received improper benefits from a marketing agent.

Former Texas quarterback Vince Young was the runner-up to Bush in the 2005 voting. It is unlikely that the award would be given to Young if it is taken from Bush. Instead it would be vacated.
