Express take late-inning win
ROUND ROCK — Winless in 46 games when trailing after the seventh inning, the Express couldn’t have picked a better time to take the lead Wednesday.
In search of its first backto-back wins in nearly three weeks, Round Rock peeled off a season-high seven runs in the bottom of the seventh inning of an 11-8 win over New Orleans, earning its first consecutive wins since June 26.
Edwin Maysonet went 3 for 4 with two runs and Brian Bogusevic drove in four on three hits, including a 415-foot homer in the third inning.
The Express have cranked out 23 hits and 22 runs over their last two games.
T.J. Burton (2-3) picked up the victory, pitching a scoreless seventh inning.
