Austin American-Statesman - - WORLD & NATION -

CARACAS — Venezuela’s President Hugo Chavez severed ties with Colombia after facing accusations he’s harboring as many as 87 guerrilla camps that are used by up to 1,500 Colombian rebels to smuggle cocaine and launch terrorist attacks into Colombia. Chavez rejected the accusations, saying they were motivated by Colombian President Alvaro Uribe’s desire to provoke a war.
