TCU is one of the few college programs to run a 4-2-5 defensive scheme, but it seems to be working. And the Horned Frogs are strong at safety. Free safety Tejay Johnson is on the Lott Trophy watch list. Senior Alex Ibiloye will start at weak safety, and he had 70 tackles last season. Strong safety is still up in the air with Tyler Luttrell, Colin Jones and Jurell Thompson fighting for the starting spot. There’s lots of talent in the secondary. That bodes well for the Horned Frogs.
TCU wide receiver Jeremy Kerley is one of several offensive players, including four of five starters on the offensive line, returning to the Horned Frogs this season.
