Longhorns football fans can see their team on Aug. 1112, with both practice days open to the public
Longhorns fans craving a football fix need to circle Aug. 11 and Aug. 12 on their calendars.
Those are the dates that Texas will hold practices that will be open to the public. Later in August, there will be an autograph session.
Coach Mack Brown’s squad, which reports on Aug. 7, will hold its open practices in Royal-Memorial Stadium from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Fans can enter through gates 14 and 16 in the Red McCombs Red Zone in the north end zone. Should either practice have to be moved at any point to the Indoor Practice Facility, space limitations will require the practices to be closed.
On Aug. 21 at 11 a.m., the Texas football and women’s volleyball teams will hold a joint autograph session in Gregory Gymnasium.
UT opens the football season Sept. 4 against Rice in Houston’s Reliant Stadium.
