Longhorns foot­ball fans can see their team on Aug. 1112, with both prac­tice days open to the pub­lic

Longhorns fans crav­ing a foot­ball fix need to cir­cle Aug. 11 and Aug. 12 on their cal­en­dars.

Those are the dates that Texas will hold prac­tices that will be open to the pub­lic. Later in Au­gust, there will be an au­to­graph ses­sion.

Coach Mack Brown’s squad, which re­ports on Aug. 7, will hold its open prac­tices in Royal-Me­mo­rial Sta­dium from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Fans can en­ter through gates 14 and 16 in the Red McCombs Red Zone in the north end zone. Should ei­ther prac­tice have to be moved at any point to the Indoor Prac­tice Fa­cil­ity, space lim­i­ta­tions will re­quire the prac­tices to be closed.

On Aug. 21 at 11 a.m., the Texas foot­ball and women’s volleyball teams will hold a joint au­to­graph ses­sion in Gre­gory Gym­na­sium.

UT opens the foot­ball sea­son Sept. 4 against Rice in Hous­ton’s Re­liant Sta­dium.
