NGenera to shift base to Silicon Valley
Austin-based nGenera Inc. is moving its headquarters to Silicon Valley.
The company, founded by Steve Papermaster in 2007, focuses on making corporations more efficient by helping them shift from traditional software systems to less expensive and easier-to-use Web applications. It also helps companies identify and evaluate technology strategies. In March, the company raised $10 million in venture capital.
CEO Tom Kelly said moving the headquarters to Mountain View, Calif., will be important to the company’s growth. NGenera will keep a development office in Austin. It also has operations in Bellevue, Wash.; Toronto; and London.
