William Fitzsimmons at the Cactus Cafe. Since this darkly poignant songwriter from Pittsburgh has written often about divorce — his parents’ and his own — this is a fitting venue as the Cactus is going through a painful separation of its own. Fitz’s 2008 album ‘The Sparrow and the Crow’ garnered many year-end citations, including iTunes’ best singer-songwriter album. 8:30 p.m. $15. 2247 Guadalupe St. 475-6515.
