There’s replacing a star, and then there’s replacing Danario Alexander, Missouri’s top receiver last year who caught 113 passes for 1,781 yards and 14 touchdowns. Still, the Tigers do return three players — Wes Kemp, Jerrell Jackson and Derrick Washington — who had 20 or more catches.
“I’m comfortable with all the receivers we have coming back,” quarterback Blaine Gabbert said. “(They) just need to look at me and I know what they’re thinking. We just plug in a guy and go in our system.”
Missouri quarterback Blaine Gabbert is beginning this season healthy. The junior played much of last year while battling an ankle injury. He says he’ll try to stay ‘even-keeled’ this year.
