He’s back — again
DeMarco Murray is back, and he’s injury free, which is a big feat for the senior running back who’s played in 36 games for the Sooners and scored 45 touchdowns.
He redshirted four years ago because of a toe injury, and he missed the final three games of his redshirt freshman season with a fractured kneecap. As a sophomore, he missed the final two games of the season with a torn hamstring tendon, and last year he missed a game with a sprained ankle.
Despite rushing for just 705 yards in 2009, Murray was considering leaving school early for the NFL draft.
“There was a time where I wasn’t taking any phone calls or talking to agents or coaches or family,” Murray said. “I wanted to make the best decision for DeMarco Murray and nobody else.”
