While the coaching staff was acting like a QB controversy might be brewing, the players didn’t appear to think so.
“There’s a controversy? That’s news to me,” receiver Scotty McKnight said. “Tyler Hanson has been taking all the snaps with the top team and he really has taken control. I don’t think there’s any doubt he’s considered the starting quarterback now.”
Hansen threw 231 passes last season, when Cody Hawkins threw 239. Both played in eight games.
Dan Hawkins knows there are two sides to every quarterback story.
