GO FOR A SWIM IN A FAVORITE T-SHIRT

Austin American-Statesman - - STYLEMATTERS -

Many music fans have taken to crowd surfing midconcert, but local designer, Angela Peace, has made it possible to surf the sea, in her line of music T-shirt bikinis. Dubbed T-shirt Revolution (t-shirtrevolution.com), her collection consists of premade bikinis repurposed from band and concert tees. Fully-lined and trimmed with swim elastic to hold their shape when wet, Peace has two ready-to-wear styles, the string ($110) and the ring ($135), available online, but also will create a custom-made suit from your favorite tee, starting at $140. She also has a line of cotton undergarments, also made from tees, available at Lovely Austin boutique (1506 S. First St. www.lovelyaustin.com). To schedule a swimsuit creation consultation, call 441-6339.

T-Shirt Revolution makes lined swimsuits out of concert T-shirts. You can even give designer Angela Peace one of your shirts to have a swimsuit made out of it.
