Bay­lor Pres­i­dent Ken Starr named El­iz­a­beth Davis ex­ec­u­tive vice pres­i­dent and provost this week. She is the first woman to hold the po­si­tion in the Bap­tist in­sti­tu­tion’s 165-year his­tory.

Davis, a pro­fes­sor of ac­count­ing at Bay­lor, has been in­terim provost for the past two years.The provost is the uni­ver­sity’s chief aca­demic of­fi­cer.

Starr named Den­nis Prescott vice pres­i­dent and spe­cial ad­viser to the pres­i­dent for ad­vance­ment, and he ap­pointed Kathy Wills Wright se­nior vice pres­i­dent for strate­gic ini­tia­tives and part­ner­ships.
