Pittsburgh steelers

Austin American-Statesman - - SPORTS -

For better or worse, Ben Roethlisberger remains the face of this storied franchise. However, the two-time Super Bowl winner won’t be Pittsburgh’s starting quarterback come opening day.

The Steelers will have to wait until Roethlisberger’s suspension — because of his off-the-field indiscretions — expires after four to six games before they resemble the team fans know well.

This summer, the story line to watch is whether favorite Byron Leftwich, Dennis Dixon or Charlie Batch will win the temporary starting job — critical to keeping Pittsburgh in contention before their star is eligible to return. The Steelers will have to wait to be led by quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who will be suspended at the start of the season.

Jets. whether Favre’s “will he, won’t he?” act has already grown thin on his teammates.
