Austin American-Statesman - - CLASSIFIEDS -

$28,000 to about $41,500 Highs: New styling for 2011, two lively V-6 engines, innovative electronics, classy interior Lows: Pricey enough to feel secure among the fast-moving, full-size SUVs and pickups that populate Austin traffic. CX-7 crash test ratings are among the best.

The new tiered dashboard is still made of hard plastic, although it is more appealing aesthetically and ergonomically than the previous effort. Notable options include an effective, intuitive Bluetooth phone interface and blind spot sensors that warn the driver.

New to the CX-7 this year is Mazda’s “fivepoint” lower front fascia (formerly known as a grille), which the company has been using on all models with styling updates. It puts a smiling, happy face on the smartly updated 2010 CX-7.
